TOURIST TIPS, INTERESTING PLACES:
Rivers in the Eagle Mountains - A mountain village and a well-known recreational centre (635 m) in the valley of Říčky (formerly Klausa) and on the surrounding slopes below Annen Hill and under the Enchanted One. In 1654 it was mentioned mainly as a logging settlement.
Anenský vrch with the Anna lookout tower - lookout tower from the main ridge of the Eagle Mountains.
Hanicka - artillery fortress belonging to the system of pre-war border fortifications built in 1935-38 to defend against Nazi Germany.
Earth Gate - a protected natural creation and a popular excursion destination, the Wild Eagle River in the main role.
Kunštát chapel - The Baroque Chapel of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary stands on the main ridge of the Orlické Mountains at an altitude of 1035 m above sea level.
The Rag - a former mountain settlement in a stream valley on the southeastern slope of Anenské vrch to Neratov.
Neratov - has been an important pilgrimage site since the second half of the 17th century, with up to four thousand pilgrims reportedly coming here on pilgrimage. Here you will find an unusually restored church Assumption of the Virgin Mary (link photo - attached).
Luisa's Valley - mountain village (876 m) below Great Deštna. It was mentioned in 1828 as a logging settlement.
Velká Deštná - the highest mountain of the Orlické Mountains, 1115m above sea level, a new 18.64m high lookout tower, which won an award for architecture.
Deštné v Orl.h. – the largest and most famous recreation centre in the Orl. h. (650 m), Deštné is probably best known today as an important ski resort.
Sherlich - an inconspicuous hill (1027 m) in the main ridge of the Orlické Mountains by the Alois Jirásek Trail. The pine and limbera trees were planted here artificially during the construction of a tourist hut. On the mountain ridge meadow there are several recreational cottages and the Masaryk tourist cottage. It is undoubtedly the most visited place on the mountain ridge.
Mosquito Hill - nature reserve at an altitude of 992 m in the ridge of the Orl. mountains. In the surroundings there are fortification objects from 1936 - 38. Directly on the top of Komáří Hill (inaccessible - reserve!) is an artillery observation post for the fortress Hannah.
Pastures - in 1932-38 she was on Wild Orlice the Pastviny water reservoir was built at a cost of CZK 44 million. CZK. The lake is about 7 km long, the area is 110 ha, the volume of the reservoir is 11 million cubic metres. The dam is made of brick, 43 m high, 193 m long. The dam also includes a hydroelectric power plant.
Bukačka - National Nature Reserve, the most important small-area protected area in the Orl Mountains. It lies about 1 km northwest of Masaryk's Chalet on the Sherlich at an altitude of 910 - 1025 m on the main ridge
Black Mine - nature reserve with an area of 26.37 ha, southwest of the settlement The Rag. There is a preserved beech fir forest (estimated to be 250 years old)
HIKING TRAILS:
Jirásek's Mountain Route - is the main long-distance ridge path in the Orlické Mountains, marked in red. It makes practically the whole main ridge accessible.
Anenské vrch - You can get here on foot or by bike from several directions. Take the blue trail from Říčky, or by car, take the bus to Mezivrší and from there take the red trail. On the way you will come across military bunkers, which you can see from the inside. At the end of the trail, you will have a beautiful view from the Anny lookout tower.
Masaryk's cottage on Šerlich (16km from Říčky) - after Jirásek's Way you can walk or cycle with a cable car ride over Zakletý vrch to Masaryk's Cottage, which offers a view of both the Czech and Polish sides in good weather. At the finish you can have a well-deserved refreshment at Masaryk's hut.
Kunštát chapel- directly at Jirásek's mountain paths (cyclists can get to the chapel from Pěticestí)
Earth Gate - about 16 km from Říčky is the Zemská brána, a stone bridge over the river Divoká Orlice with a nature trail. Again, you can refresh yourself at the finish line at the Orlice cottage "U Rampušáka".
Even in summer it offers Ski area lots of activities. Bikepark welcomes you with groomed downhill trails - Blue-Red Trail (length 2.1 km) is designed for beginners and intermediate and Black Trail (length 1.9 km) is designed for fit bikers due to its purely natural and technically demanding character.
You can also try mountain off-road tricycles and scooters. The cable car will take you and your tricycles and scooters to The Enchanted Hill. A leisurely cable car ride is replaced by an adrenaline rush down the slope! You will be 1 350 m long ski slopewhich is ideal for a family downhill with the kids, but it can also turn into a race track in no time, where you can compare your riding skills! Experience the beauty of Eagle Mountains by bike, the routes along the mountain ridge will reward you with magical views, pure nature and beautiful sights.

Pastvinská dam (23km) - For example, take a car to dam in Pastviny. You can rent a boat, pedal boat or just swim at one of the local beaches. Around the dam there are several options for refreshments.
Aquapark Žamberk (20km) -Or take the children to the Aquapark, which is equipped with a swimming pool with a paddling pool, a slide, two water slides (79 m and 83 m), a kamikatze (50 m), a children's sandpit, a massage bath and a toddler pool with heated water. Sports fans can enjoy beach volleyball, streetball, table tennis and aerobics.
Or go for a hike and cool your feet in the Wild Orlice River, which runs through the Orlické Mountains, perhaps in a nature reserve. Earth Gate.
Fun, adrenaline, skills you can try in at the ropes centre.
Rope centre (2,3km from Říček) - Right next to ski-areal is built in the treetops rope parkwhich is open from May to September. Young children from 3 years old can test their climbing skills in mini-park and the older ones on the junior circuit. There are several circuits for everyone over 150 cm tall with up to 80 obstacles, some of which are at the height of 16 m above ground. Try adrenaline-filled downhill rides on gravity lifts and get the adrenaline out of your bodies. Then enjoy a well-deserved refreshment in the ski area.

Ski area Říčky (2.3km) is located 6 minutes by car from the apartments. There are also rides from the apartments free ski bus - stop in front of the hotel. Ski centre has perfect facilities for skiers, but also for cyclists and hikers.
From the winter season 2020/2021 they have prepared a new ski area for skiers 6-seater indoor chairlift Leitner with capacity 2800 persons/hourthat will take you up and then you can take one of the 3 slopes down - black 1km, red 1,2km, blue 1,5km.
In the 2017/2018 season, the complex was completely equipped with with the new TF8 snow cannons, which provides an easy and quick way to make snow throughout the winter season.
Not missing here ski school a teaching meadow with moving belt. During the winter season, cross-country skiing trails in the surrounding area are regularly groomed in the length of up to 42 km. Cross-country tracks are suitable for both classic style and skating (skate).
